Business News: Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates praised India, saying it has become a global leader in innovation. He said India's innovative solutions can improve the lives of millions of people in the Global South. Speaking at an event organized by the Indian Consulate in Seattle and the Gates Foundation, Gates said he looks forward to continuing his partnership with India on the journey to a developed India 2047.
Senior officials from the Washington State and Seattle City governments were also present at the event. The event, organized by the Bill Gates Foundation, coincided with the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Indian culture, art, and cuisine were showcased. Gates said, "It is crucial that we gather on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday. The ideals for which Gandhiji fought—equality and dignity for every person—are the foundation of our work."
